Merry Christmas!
Hope y'all had a blessed Christmas with family and friends. We had a very quiet Christmas. It was a little lonely for us since we don't have family around us. But we made the best of our day and kept to our traditions. Freckles woke us up early to open gifts...
Her main gift this year was her very first guitar along with some handmade things I made for her. One favorite was the stuffed guitar pillow for her bedroom. I love how it turned out!
We made a lovely Christmas brunch...Homemade Italian Breakfast Toast with eggs and garden tomato sausage. Later in the afternoon we enjoyed a cup of homemade cocoa:
( Salted Caramel Cocoa) It was the bomb!!! So yummy!
I also made homemade white chocolate spearmint candy fudge.
Another yummy!
Then I made our traditional Christmas dinner: Potato pancakes with honey glazed ham, and homemade applesauce...A favorite family tradition we started over 20 years ago! We very much missed our son and his girlfriend...This is our third Christmas apart from our son. Unfortunately he had to work Christmas Eve and couldn't make it down this year. Prayerfully they will come home for Christmas next year! Christmas is so different without him home.....This has been a very hard and very sad year for us...Having him away made it worse.
But we got through it and thankful we are all in good health!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
Love, The Freckled Farmgirl
You always make it beautiful
