You Had Me At Chippy

This has been a busy hard month so far getting everything packed an finally acquiring the keys to our new home this week. There were changes I need to make right away before we move this weekend...The kitchen had some really busy blue and white wallpaper...Which is not my style nor my colors. It had to go. Sooooo....My gal friends came over for two days and ripped it all off. I painted the walls, tore of two cupboards and painted the inside milky white. The inside of the cupboards were a really dark kind of blue....Had to go! As soon as we move in I will be painting the blue tile for now until we can afford to get butcher block counters. The light fixture will also be changed out. Whew this has been a lot of work but a labor of love! We are so in love with this house!

I also found this awesome piece for my kitchen wall on a local vintage Facebook page. I am picking it up next week. I won't change a thing about it...It's perfect all chippy with the colors showing through. Especially that red!!! It is gorgeous as well as a great price!!!
Baby you had me at CHIPPY!
SCORE!

It will be a little quiet over here online since we are making the move this weekend...Hoping to share pictures soon...Plus our son is coming for a visit! Can't wait to see him and celebrate our daughter's 17th candle together!!! See y'all soon!

Birds In The Hood

Quick update* Our Robin family babies flew the coop over the weekend. I captured the last lil guy perched and contemplating his take off as his momma was telling him to jump..And shortly after that he took the leap. I also captured a few more birds that were singing in the trees...
Hope your weekend was a good one and your week ahead will be even better!!

Peek Into Our New Homestead

Yes indeed! We are moving!!!
Lord willing this will be it for years to come.
We are so excited to move into this home...The packing part is no fun...I wish I can snap my fingers and voila we would be all moved in. Just a matter of days until
we get the keys and we will be home owners!!
This darling brick home is in a historic area..Built in 1915...She is a charmer!

A beautiful entry, staircase and wood floors. A formal dining room, living room with wood burning fire place, built in bookcase, french doors that goes into a solarium/ enclosed porch.

The kitchen is sweet with a breakfast nook, butlers pantry and secret door to a staircase which goes up to the maids quarters.

The bright cheery yellow master bedroom has a really cool side room with french doors which will be perfect for my new studio.

the maids quarters/guest bedroom will be perfect for company...where they get to sneak down to the kitchen for a midnight snack through the secret doorway that leads down to the kitchen.

I love the main bath on the second floor...that yellow wallpaper and the sink!!! I'm in love!!

Mr. Darling gets his own study!!!

And our daughter gets her own apartment like living are on the top floor where the attic has been fully remodeled. I wish I were her...this space is gonna be awesome for her!

We also have a partially finished basement with pool table and laundry room area...The backyard has a secret garden area with path, a couple garden beds, grassy area, brick patio which will have a firepit put in and a lil garden shed...Will share more once we move in and get settled. Hope you enjoyed getting a little peek into our new/old home!

In The Nest

Momma and Poppa Robin's eggs hatched about two weeks ago. Everyday I look out and the babies look different each time. Pretty soon they will fly off.

News* I have been a bit quiet over here due to getting sick after the Beauty And The Beast play, and packing up our rental. Yup!!! Packing and moving once again! We are buying a sweet house in town and close to our church. It's not my dream farm, but is a beautiful house in which we hope to settle down in for a long while. I will share some snippets soon. Our move in date is just a few weeks away before our son flys out for a visit...Lot's to do, so little time!
