I really adore Farm decor and charming pieces that would fit right in to a farm home. Throughout the years my style has evolved, yet has kept to a sort of country/farm style. I have decorated in homespun primitive, Victorian country and eclectic vintage over the years. I don't know why I am so drawn to farm like things, but let's just say it makes me happy. I do believe wholeheartedly you should decorate with things that make you happy and smile. I also enjoy decorating our home with a lot of color. Out of all the farm animals my heart belongs to chickens and cows. Chickens have been a favorite since childhood when I raised chickens as a young girl.
It was a favorite memory I treasure close to my heart.
Keeping a cozy, cheery, vibrant, home brightens up the gloomiest of days and makes my family feel at home. It is important to me to create a homey atmosphere where my people feel comfortable, safe and inspired. A little added charm and homespun accents make it extra fun.
I couldn't agree with you more, Mica! Your photography is so special and "homey" as well!

DeleteAre those little tiny farm people, like the village people in a snowy Christmas village? I've never seen anything like them, and love them!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I was raised on a farm, which I loved. I have to say my favorites are cows (it was a dairy), chickens (we always had a few), and sheep (I showed prize-winning sheep at the county and state fairs!)
Country life, farmgirl living is a good way to live!

Jen thanks for sharing!!!! These are mini farm people from Michael's. I found them around other miniatures people use to make dioramas or mission projects...It was just a few bucks!
DeleteI'll have to check them out next time I'm there!
