Beauty School Knock Out

For the last 8 months my daughter has been working hard at Rudae's School of Beauty Culture, for her degree in Esthetics. She finally finished and graduated this last week! So very proud of her working toward a goal and fulfilling it. She just needs to get the State license and will be able to search for work and do what she loves!

Congrats my darling girl! You will go far!

Freckles

I painted a sweet canvas with my rendition of my daughter when she was a little girl. I call it "Freckles". Since she was little, every Summer she would be kissed with freckles on her nose. She was such a happy child...this piece brings me some warm and fuzzy feelings. I did this piece for an upcoming fundraiser through the YMCA. I am sorry to have to let this one go...I fell in love with it as I was painting her, but can't keep it since it was already commissioned for this fundraiser event. I guess I will have to paint more.....I am pretty proud of this!

Wildflower

I actually got out a canvas and paints to paint a portrait of my daughter. I haven't painted like this in years. It was fun! Now if I can get up the courage to do more of it! I am out of practice as this may look a lil wonky. But frankly, pretty pleased with how she turned out.
