Country Girl Sweet Dill Pickles

Pickle time! 

Here is a recipe for my favorite pickles!

Country Girl Sweet Dill Pickles

Bring to a boil: 3 Cups sugar, 2 Tablespoons salt, 2 Cups pure apple cider vinegar, 2 Cups water.

Place in each pint jar (about 4 pint jars): sliced cucumbers

1 whole garlic clove, 1 fresh dill sprig

Pour liquid into sterile jars. Seal. Process in boiling water about 15 minutes in canner.

Allow the pickles to cure for a month before eating!

I cheated and dug into them after a week! They were great!!!

The 4th ~ 2018

Finally catching up to posts! This year for the 4th, our family watched fireworks with our daughters boyfriend and his family! It was a pretty good firework show that was downtown..Despite the heat, mugginess and mosquitoes!!! 

I think they might like each other or something...Maybe!

My friends Ruth & Phil recently celebrated their 25th Silver year anniversary!

 I had the honor of taking pictures for their special day!

Wildflower

I actually got out a canvas and paints to paint a portrait of my daughter. I haven't painted like this in years. It was fun! Now if I can get up the courage to do more of it! I am out of practice as this may look a lil wonky. But frankly, pretty pleased with how she turned out.
